Since co-founding EWM Global in 2001, Mr. Gottlieb has overall responsibility for the company’s business development, capital financing, and investment activities. He is actively involved in pursuing financial services and non-financial services clients for EWM Global’s Investment & Compensation Plan Administration business, while supervising its related marketing efforts and client relationship management. In addition, Mr. Gottlieb supervises EWM Global’s Third Party Fund Marketing business globally.
Previously, Mr. Gottlieb spent ten years at UBS (London) and its predecessors Swiss Bank Corporation (London), and O’Connor & Associates (Chicago). During this time, he helped to launch and grow Swiss Bank’s internal alternative investment business (hedge funds and funds of hedge funds). Mr. Gottlieb became Head of Marketing for that division, renamed UBS O’Connor, leading a global team that raised in excess of USD 5 billion across the firm’s alternative investment programs. Before joining O’Connor in Chicago, Mr. Gottlieb was a management consultant at Booz Allen & Hamilton in New York, serving a wide range of financial services firms and industrial companies.
Mr. Gottlieb holds BS and Master of Engineering degrees in Operations Research, and an MBA from Cornell University.
Dr. Schroter was part of EWM Global’s founding team in 2001, and has been the CEO of EWM Global since 2009. He is responsible for all aspects of EWM Global’s Investment & Compensation Plan Administration (ICPA) business. He manages and monitors EWM Global’s group daily operations and human resources globally. Additionally, he is responsible for financial planning, record-keeping, and oversees the group financials for EWM Global and its affiliates.
Before becoming the CEO, Dr. Schroter was formerly the CFO & COO of EWM Global. Previous experience includes Commerzbank, University St. Gallen.
Dr. Schroter holds a graduate degree in Economics («Diplom-Volkswirt») with honors from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany and a doctorate degree in Economics from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.
Mr. Khandelwal Joined EWM Global as CTO in 2004, and is currently a member of EWM Global’s Management Committee. He is responsible for planning and executing EWM Global’s IT strategy and all aspects of IT development. This includes managing IT teams and resources in the US, Europe and Asia.
Previous experience includes UBS, Bank of New York, Salomon Brothers, Dun and Bradstreet, and Royal Insurance.
Mr. Khandelwal holds a MS in Computer Science from the New York Institute of Technology and an Engineering degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from Pune University, India.
Ms. Gustafson joined EWM Global in 2001, and is currently the Chief Client Relationship Officer and a member of EWM Global’s Management Committee. She is responsible for contract lifecycle and risk management. This includes leading EWM Global’s account management teams in the US and Europe.
Previous experience includes Cisco Systems and University Club of Chicago.
Ms. Gustafson holds a BA with Honors in Business Administration from Michigan State University.
Ms. Symonds joined EWM Global in 2002, and is currently the Chief Operating Officer and a member of EWM Global’s Management Committee. She is responsible for managing the client services and communication team globally. This includes supporting the CEO to coordinate, manage and monitor operational quality and efficiency company wide.
Previous experience includes Brainpower, a London-based financial software company.
Ms. Symonds holds a BA with Honors in German Language and Literature from the University of Leeds.
Mr. Pittman joined EWM Global in 2011 as Managing Director and CMO. He is responsible for overseeing all business development at the firm.
Previously, he has held senior marketing roles with companies including Merrill Lynch, Automatic Data Processing, and The Newport Group. Overall, he has worked in the financial services industry for over twenty years, and has worked with some of the world’s largest banks, asset managers, insurance and private equity firms helping them find administrative solutions for their deferred compensation, carried interest, and co-investment plans.
Mr. Pittman recently authored the chapter “Carried interest employee incentive structures” for the book The Definitive Guide to Carried Interest, published by Private Equity International.
