For the 7th consecutive year, EWM Global was honored to support the 2019 PEI CFO COO Forum in New York City this January.

We heard key insights and participated in discussions with hundreds of the premier Private Equity firms from across the world, including the co-founder of The Carlyle Group, Daniel D’Aniello and the CFO of The BlackStone Group, Michael Chae.

Our Chief Marketing Officer, Tom Pittman, shared our experience with “Innovative Carry & Clawback Models” that we see starting to gain traction as firms explore beyond the traditional 80/20 models of carried interest, in an effort to balance competitiveness and alignment of client goals with incentives for investment teams.

We enjoyed speaking with numerous CFOs and COOs who stopped by our booth, and observed two recurring items of strong interest:

  • Greater risk-mitigation of GP Waterfall calculations and carry plan administration
  • The ability to increase transparency and understanding of GP level carry plans for investment team members

We look forward to continuing the many conversations with those that we connected with, and look forward to speaking with you if we didn’t get a chance to meet us.
